Youth Community Leader - 2025 Summer Internship

This summer internship offered in San Pablo and Richmond is for high school and college students who seek to enhance their own intellectual and spiritual capacity while simultaneously contributing to the progress of their community. The internship consists of three aspects:

     *     training

     *     action-reflection in tutoring middle schoolers in English and math

     *     mentorship (career, life skills, financials, academics and more)
 

These aspects require a time commitment from July 14 to August 2, with a formal training the week before (July 7-13). Please note that the internship takes place Sundays - Thursdays, from 9:00am-6:00pm, with a shorter option available for those who need a more flexible option.

The outcomes of the internship include:

     *     3 weeks of experience working as a mentor and academic tutor to middle-school students

     *    Practice in facilitating group-discussions, engaging with families, and leading social-action projects

     *     Letter of recommendation 

     *     Certificate of completion

     *     Eligibility to apply for the CDRI Internship for the academic year of 2025-2026

     *     Assistance with resume writing
